She subsequently worked as a processor for a large mortgage lender and as a closing paralegal for several other law firms. Leanne returned to our firm in 2007 and is now our managing closing paralegal, being responsible for supervising our paralegals and insuring that your closing is handled with the utmost in professionalism. Leanne also conducts closings when Calvin McBride is unavailable. To contact.. | | Kristen Green | Kristen graduated from Wallace State Junior College in 1997, with an associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies, and began working for our firm as a closing paralegal and legal assistant in 1998. Although Kristen worked as our chief closing paralegal for a number of years, when her twin sons were born, she began working on a part time basis. Kristen’s training and experience allow her to be able to perform any service offered by our firm. To contact.. | | Title Insurance Paralegal: | | Sylvia Rice | Sylvia, who has been a member of our staff since 1998, coordinates and handles all pre-closing curative title work, including, but not limited to, ordering title searches and abstracts of title, coordinating with lenders to obtain Satisfactions for paid but unsatisfied mortgages, and preparing and facilitating the execution of all corrective deeds and other curative title instruments. Sylvia prepares title insurance commitments and title insurance policies, coordinates with realtors and lenders in setting up closing files, assists with scheduling, orders loan payoffs, verifies property and casualty insurance and wood infestation reports, assists in preparing each file for closing, and assists in resolving all post closing issues. McBride | Jennifer attended Freed-Hardeman University and graduated from Athens College with a degree in Finance. Since 1986, Jennifer has worked as a real estate closing paralegal and legal assistant and currently handles all of our firm’s accounting issues, as well as assisting our staff of paralegals with closings and issuing final title insurance policies when needed.
